Did they have Gibb on there..
didn't hear much clapping except for lopez and the guy from the clash
To: RummyChick
Speaking of Bill Maher, does anyone know if a thread is/was created to discuss his lousy new show? Hubby and I were wondering how long it will last. Truly awful garbage.
To: jhofmann
Oh boy, another Golden Oldie on now.
To: RummyChick
They clapped for Dee Dee.
Did you notice they clap for anyone who is black or looks gay? Sort of obligatory, I guess, though no one knows who they are.

His Michael Omartian produced debut was an absolutely
killer album.
One of those "A Lifetime in the Making".
Oh well....gotta ride like the wind.

*sigh* I had reserved a hotel in Pittsburgh to go see her for *free* @ the Three Rivers Arts Festival in June... but my girlfriend's Grandpa passed away a couple of days before.

***That's too bad***
Tell me about it, System is such a fresh break from the norm. Some of their songs remind me of Mr. Bungle, only System blows them away musically. Not that it matters a whole lot now.

WOW NOW THAT'S A CLASH TRIBUTE. THE BOSS. STEVIE. ELVIS COSTELLO.

Oddly, that didn't happen tonight. Cyril got executed and Beecher killed Schillinger. Sombody sent some toxic powder to OZ, killing the entire aryan brotherhood and closing Oz.Sounds like Tom Fontana (an old boss of mine) went out with a bang. Sorry I missed it.

Drudge just said that the Grammy committee personally called Sheryl Crowe and told her to put a zipper on her mouth (as far as anti-war statements go).I wonder how many of these overindulged little brats will be making the rounds of the talk shows in the coming days, whining about how they were censored by the network and claiming that Ashcroft's "police state tactics" intimidated the network?
To: eddie willers
Oh, man, three cliches in one segment!
We had the:
1) obligatory industry schmuck rah-rah speech
2) the DEATH ROLL
3) the celebrity rockstar jam
To: BunnySlippers
I just switched over to this and I saw it and switched back in about two seconds to the history channel. you people have fun here. The grammys are gay

most got no clapping...and the ones that did get clapping didn't get much except for a couple of them
I wasn't looking when Gibb would have been up there but I didn't hear any thunderous clapping which is why I was wondering if he was on there
To: Poser
The Jefferson Airplane ripped off "their" 2 best songs from Darby Slick and the Great Society. Not an award worthy band in my mind.

Anyone care to comment on "London Calling ..."
War images to boot?
To: Captiva
Any time you go to Pittsburgh, your in heaven. Gosh, I miss the burgh.

I was looking more at the band. Would have been nice to see the Clash onstage for this (or at least to provide memorial). Oh well, they go in the Hall Of Fame this year.
