I know we've had this word before, but it's been quite a while and there is plenty of current news that makes this a good word for today.

Here is my example with WFTD.

The only thing worse than the pontification of supercilious entertainers on political issues is ranting of airheaded "journalists" who claim that we common folk shouldn't dismiss the "stars" and their views.

Stars' views shouldn't be so easily written off (Barf Alert)
