Well, I guess my “winning streak” is gonna come to a screeching halt with this episode.
Yeah I know, I’m 4 for 4 but lets face it, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure these 4 losers would get the boot first.
Sorry Dave, but when you list your occupation as rocket scientist, you’re gonna get a lot of jokes about it!
Anyway, Team Estrogen seems to be self-destructing before our very eyes.
Shawna, you ignorant little whiney cry-baby! If your gonna give-up, role over and play dead after only 10 days, then why did you even apply for the show? You kept some other, better qualified, applicant from getting that slot. You’ll have to forgive me if I sound a little bit snippy here. I applied for Survivor 7 and didn’t get even make the first cut. Then, Jeff P. makes a snide comment during one of his interviews to the effect of “Even with over 50,000 applications received, it’s still hard to come up with 16 qualified players.” Then Shawna pulls this whiney, crybaby act. That little stunt (IMHO) qualifies her for a place in the “Reality TV Hall of Shame.” OK enough of my kevetching, back to the picks. Anyway, as Deena would say, Suck-it-up, re-hydrate yourself and SHUT-UP already!
Speaking of Deena, she hasn’t quite figured out that you wait until after the merge to start voting out strong challenge competitors. Although I must say, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for voting out Joanna (Can I get an AMEN, Brothas N Sistahs!)
Jenna and Heidi seem to be competing against each other for the “Bimbo of the Week” award.
Heidi jumped out to an early lead with her "I just may sit around and even take a nap today," comment about Jeanne and Joanna doing all the work around camp. But Jenna then took a commanding lead with her "Don't be mad at us because we have good bodies. It's not our fault; get over it” comment.
Meanwhile, over at Team Testosterone, the guys seem to have extricated their craniums from their rectal orifices and have started to take this game seriously.
This was exhibited during the Immunity Challenge fishing contest when Jeff ask the guys “If there’s a chance that the women could be doing as well as them?”
Did they reply in their typical macho cockiness with “Oh hell no, they’re women after all!”
They did not! Their reply was a simple “There’s always that chance.” Looks like they have learned to “engage brain before opening mouth.”
Anyway, this weeks picks are much harder to call due to Dave and Jenna’s little “date”.
The spoiler sites are abuzz with the speculation that this means any of the following could happen:
1. Dave and Jenna are meeting to merge the two tribes like what happened in S1 (Sean and Jenna) and S4 (Rob and Kathy). However, even this scenario has two possibilities.
a. This is a true merge (albeit two episodes early) and from here on out all the IC’s will be individual Immunity Challenges. Or
b. This is a fake merge and both tribes are to come together into one camp, but still compete (and go to Tribal Council) as separate tribes. (As in S5 – Thailand).
2. Dave and Jenna are meeting to “mix-up” tribe members. This again could happen two different ways.
a. They are designated as captains of their respective tribes and they will pick their new tribes members alternating between the two like they did in Thailand. I.E. Jenna picks a guy, Dave picks a gal, Jenna picks a gal, Dave picks a guy, etc.etc. or
b. They pick their respective tribe members completely at random by selecting tokens/sticks with each players name written on them. Hence the title of this episode “Pick up sticks”.
OK, OK, I’ve babbled on long enough. Here is what I think will happen.
The Tribes will get mixed-up and Shawna and Matt will be on different Tribes.
Therefore, either Shawna or Matt will be this weeks bootee depending on which tribe wins the Ugly Idol.
