I'm not saying 'grassroots' activists weren't getting out the word, I'm saying that the organizational structure around us dragged its feet. Heck yeah, I even bereated the S&W people at the NRA convention that year and gave Winchester Western heat for pulling their 'Black Talon' ammo because of political pressure. Like most things, it comes down to the individuals.

To be entirely fair, I have to modify what I just said...some of the organizational structure dragged its feet. Even so, I'll stand by the notion that some of it would just as soon kick us in the @ss as well.
