maybe PJ is just stocking up footage for the blockbuster, 16-hour super-extended platinum DVD collector's edition ... which I will, of course, buy.

You know, about 500 hours worth of footage was shot for LOTR. A lot of that is just multiple angles, but there must still be a lot of things that we'll never see. Such a shame.
