My wild and fond hope is that the movies will be so successful that there will someday be a 'director's cut' for all three movies and that Jackson will be able to put absolutely everything he wants into them. I personally, would be happy to pay hundreds for such a collected special edition :)

Just catching up on my LOTR posts today - I'd LOVE to see a director's cut. I'd buy it as well! Makes me drool just thinking about it!

Considering the hundreds I've already spent (I had to get a new TV just to watch the extended version of FOTR), I'd spend a premium to get extra time in Middle Earth. Not only the TV, but I've bought all the photo-books. My only gripe--I'd like more plastic stuff. As a mom, I've endured years of licensed junk at McDonalds and so forth of every animated movie, cluttering my life and obsessing my children...where's *my* happy meal Frodo action figure? I waited, I want it. PJ, put me something in with the hamburgers.
