1/14/03

Posted on 01/14/2003 6:57:49 AM PST by Bella_Bru

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

roister\ROY-stur\, transitive verb:

1. To engage in boisterous merrymaking; to revel; to carouse.
2. To bluster; to swagger

Etymology: Roister is probably from Middle French rustre, "a boor, a clown; clownish," from Latin rusticus, "rustic," from rus, "country."

Dems roister over Judicial nominees while Frist can't seem to gain control.

The Dems are making a very grave tactical mistake with Frist.

Frist is far more intelligent than the entire Dem caucus combined. Their attempts at F*ng with him, will make him turn his attention to his weakness, which is being Green....

That whole struggle at birth thing.

Had they been smart, they would have let things ease along then ambushed him when it counted, not just for the sake of doing it....
