I want to know why there haven't been any great composers since Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. Sure, we've had some good ones since such as Verdi, Wagner, Mendelssohn, Mahler, and Schubert. But no truly immortal greats. Why is that? Why don't we have a 20th Century equivalent to Beethoven or Bach? Or even Mozart?

I also want to know what the heck has happened to The Weather Channel. Those guys are pathetic. You get maybe eight minutes of content in the course of an hour. The rest of the time, you have endless loops of the same maps over and over again for six-hour blocks. The "local" forecasts are pathetic. You can get more detail out of the newspaper for crying out loud. And besides, they often cut into the middle of the local forecasts anyhow to bring us commercials. It is such a sloppy operation that it's pathetic. They used to be better than that. Now I just bookmark Accuweather.com and I guess I'll get rooked into paying the monthly fee that they are getting ready to impose just so I can get a damn halfway reliable weather forecast when I want one.

Ah yes, the Fairness Doctrine. It's not fair that anyone who disagrees with big-government socialism should be allowed to say so on the gove - er, I mean, on the people's airwaves, so we must require all broadcasters to provide equal time to their opponent, so as to make sure the sheeple are not misled. Of course this effectively doubles the cost of a conservative talk show, as broadcasters would have to sell twice as much advertising time, and the opposition figure may not have the draw of say, a Rush Limbaugh or a Sean Hannity. The result: very few stations would carry either Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. That's fair.

Pitt is a pretentious bullshit artist, like most members of the chattering classes. One time someone posted an absolutely awful screed of his titled "God Sees the Freepers". At bottom, it was a condescending bit of flapdoodle designed to point out that the Freepers weren't right with God. During his bitchfest, Pitt related the story of his very moral, solidly Republican father who would not recognize the Extreme Right Wing Republican Party of Today.

I guess he had issues with Dad.

Anyhoo, apparently God has a huge problem with Freepers jamming online polls. At least, according to Pitt.

Anyway, I don't even go on DU or Capitol Grill to smack this ass-clown around. A pretentious ass is a pretentious ass, and while that may be tautological, it sure as hell is the truth.

I want to see the proof of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before we engage in a war that will send tens of thousands of civilians to their deaths, enrage the Muslim world against us, grievously wound the American economy, and guarantee more terrorism here at home.

He wants to see that even if it means we reveal "sources and means" which we may never get to use again. People willingly died in WWII rather than reveal the ULTRA secret that we were reading Hitler's mail even before Hitler was. One particular case, a Naval officer who knew he shouldn't have gone on patrol because of his knowledge of ULTRA stayed in the wardroom as the submarine sank rather than risk capture and POSSIBLY revealing ULTRA under torture.

I am sure the Bush administration's incontrovertible proof that these weapons exist is a sheaf of shipping manifests from roundabout 1984, when we sent the stuff to Saddam in the first place, but I want to see it anyway.

As long as this foul mouthed moron is talking about "proof", I'd like to see his "proof here.
