I think he'll stay one more year. I like Eli Manning and the Manning clan so I'm happy for them. Nebraska is just hapless this year, though.

One reason that I like Koreans so much is that they are proud of their own distinct culture and yet generally seem to love and appreciate America.
John, would you agree with me that Koreans are extremely determined people? In Christian missions these days, Koreans can be found everywhere, often starting churches and relief organizations under some of the most trying circumstances. They just keep going and never say "die."

Here's a good article that exposes the deceived and deceptive war protesters, including people like Scott Ritter, Saddam's favorite stooge.

would you agree with me that Koreans are extremely determined people? From what I saw, they are. We saw many steeples, so many I quit counting, on the trip from the airport in Seoul to Osan AB.
And I wouldn't want to mess with Mr. Ye. At 65, his reflexes and strength were comparable to the 23 year old marines. He also had a determined, potentially dangerous look about him.

Trying to catch up on the thread, not really wanting to post my opinion, and then I come upon this gem:
Spaceships.....aliens....North Koreans with nukes....cloned babies....I may need a beer here soon.
You could add many more items to that litany, but I digress. Regarding the events (provocations) of the day, the U.S. will start to position forces in Asia and the Pacific. First it will be a Patriot battalion. A tank bridgade, some commo and logistics. The North Koreans (IL) will see it and decide: "Do I feel lucky?" Kim will up the anty, and things will get more tense. Especially in the South.
Then the President (nice to capitalize that word again) will send one carrier task force over to the S. China sea. Maybe another one in the Sea of Japan.
Kim will finally get the information of the deployment. He will decide: "Do I feel lucky?" Kim will up the anty and things will get more tense.
The President will then forward deploy (Guam, HI, etc.) various aircraft (i.e B-52s, B-1, 2s, KC 135s, etc.). Maybe even a boomer or two?
Maybe ol' Il Jong might not up the anty anymore. Then again...?
Then again, there is a prevailing west to east wind from Pyoung Pyang toward Tokyo, if you catch (pun alert) my drift.
The communist will back down. Just like they always do.

Canolis or home made lasagna???OK. I'll weigh in here, both!
A little chilly down here. It's supposed to get colder. Even more Sunday.
Oct. Nov. and so far Dec. have all been below normal. Even as much as 3 degrees below mean.
Sheesh. Not much beach time...where the heck is that global warming!?

Hello, back from my sister's dinner. Plain food but cooked well...she did a roast in the crock pot with onions and a can of COKE! It really tasted good...not sweet at all, and very tender.
Lots of good fun telling adventure stories of all of our travels. My brother-in-law was chased by a mob in Bimini in the 50's, my brother told of flying in a helicopter over Hawaii with a deranged pilot, sisters had funny flying stories to tell...all in all, a good evening.
I see even more deployments are underway. Not unexpected, but I had always hoped that Hussein would be brought down from within or that he would choose exile. North Korea is actually the one I worry about the most, because not only is the leader a psycho, but their troops have been brainwashed as well.

No baby yet. Daughter sees the doc on Monday, and if she hasn't delivered yet, delivery options will be discussed. She is only four days late as of today. To her, it feels like four WEEKS.
Received exciting news from son and d-i-l on Christmas Eve. The twins are BOYS. :o)) D-i-l is off bed rest and doing well. Due date is 23 May.

Boy, is that ever true! One minute past your due date seems like forever!
Boy twins! Yay!

Your post reminded of something my Mom told me. She received a Christmas letter from a neighbor we lived next door to about 30 years ago. This lady was an only child and she and her husband had 2 boys. The boys are starting their own families now. The older boy, and his wife have one daughter and are expecting twin girls. The younger boy, and his wife have a set of twins; one boy and one girl and are expecting ANOTHER set of twins; two boys. Seven grandchildren in less than 4 years! What are the odds on having that many twins? Wow!

May 23 would be an EXCELLENT day to be born!

What a great day. I've just returned home from a birthday party. My dearest friend's father is 90 years old, and his family threw him a surprise birthday party this afternoon. What fun! Our birthday boy is 2nd generation Sicilian, and worked his entire life at his vegetable market (as his father did), and construction jobs. His granddaughter made the cutest centerpieces with glass vases filled with raw pasta, and toy tools and vegatables and fruits on wires, sticking up out of the pasta. We ate pasta, muffaletas, breaded artichokes, salad, roast beef sub sandwich, Italian cookies, pineapple upside down cake (his favorite) and that desert that they call (phonetically) "beenyalotta" I have no idea how to spell that one!
As his daughter pinned the rose on the lapel of his suit, the birthday boy got so moved with emotion, he started to cry. He is such a sweet and loving man and has brought forth one of the most wonderful families that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I'm very blessed to have them all, all 4 generations of them, as my friends.

They have a website comwavz.com like I said earlier they are only in north central and northwest Ohio right now.
But I have a feeling if word gets out about the technology, similar companies will start popping up everywhere.Price is the same as cable.
