AFTER some final mudslinging at his political colleagues, US fugitive, former Joseph Estrada crony and sitting Philippines congressman Mark Jiminez yesterday gave himself up in Manila to authorities of the US, where he has been wanted for four years. The controversial politician has fought for three years against his extradition to the US, where he faces 47 charges including making illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion and fraud. Each charge carries a potential five-year prison term.
.... The US charges against Mr Jiminez include that he organised, made and concealed illegal donations in 1995 to former president Bill Clinton's election campaign.
