That reminds me. I found the neatest book for my mother yesterday. The title is
Lost Indianapolis and it is full of pictures of old buildings and sites that have been torn down, including the amusement park that used to be a yearly treat when I was a kid.
What I DIDN'T know until I read the book was that the amusement park had a "whites only" policy up until the mid-60's!!!!!!!
This is Indianapolis, far north of the Mason-Dixon line! Boy, you can learn something every day, even in your own back yard!
