My son called me this evening. We are tentatively going to see "The Two Towers" tomorrow. Mr. Marple and Mrs. Coopster are not particularly interested...while The Coopster and I have been wanting these books to be made into movies for 20 years. Mr. Marple remembers these books as "the ones that were always laying all over the house." Ha! He is not a fantasy afficianado.
I am really excited to go see the movie, as it is supposed to be better than the first one.
I screwed up. Yesterday, moving stuff out of the yard, I managed to raggedly slice my wrist on some scrap metal. It was deeper than I thought. I ran throught the whole self care training, and cleaned everything up, and bandaged it so I could continue working. I've used peroxide and a sanitized scrub brush on it, triple antibiotic cream, and I'm immunized against EVERYTHING.
But it's getting angry looking, and actually sorta hurts, so I called a corpsman that I know to ask for some advice. Bad idea. The information got bumped up the chain of command and I have been ordered to report for a man-day tomorrow, and report directly to sick call. The only way I can get out of it is if my civilian Dr. can get me in tomorrow, and faxes over a report.
