Thanks for the link. The site said the 350CID dials in at 1100lbs. The picture they show is the one the guy was riding.
It doesn't look like it can be dropped. The exhaust manifolds stick out so far I doubt laying it down even tips it past the center of gravity.

I layed mine down a few times but luckily my friends WIFE was there to bail me out. She's a female firefighter/nurse/lumberjack. :-) (We keep her around for protection & bandages.*<;-}~

I haven't actually ridden on a motorcycle since I dated my physics teacher's son back in college.

That said ...

Well, it's December 17, 2002. That means Spring is right around the corner. Sort of.

PLEASE do not take me off this list ...

I take that back ... I knew a juggler who'd give me a lift anytime he caught me hoofing it in the Quarter. =)

Not at this time, although I do get the mailing list from COG. I also had occasion to use that phrase last summer-- somebody I know made a wisecrack about people who buy gray motorcycles, you know the rest.... :-)

Thanks! It's about 3 mos. old and upholstered in ostrich skin.

I live within driving distance of the Corbin plant in Hollister, CA, so I just cruised down there one afternoon and had them custom-fit one.

Inside the Corbin factory

They have you sit on the bare foam a few times and adjust it to your liking. Then you pick a vinyl or leather covering and they go to work.

Wizard's Cafe

While you're waiting you can either have a burger in a diner they have on-site, or you can walk around in the factory and look over the seamstresses' shoulders as they put the seat together.

Hard at work

Corbin also has a showroom with vintage cycles and some custom leather seating on display.

Cool!

Here's the guy who built my seat foundation (they even tolerate pesky guys with cameras).

Interesting burnouts there on the Corbin plant showroom floor. I guess they really test those seats!

Thanks for the heads up.

Takes me back to runs to the Rockstore and tri-tips, and of course beer.
