Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Nice pics. I'm not very good, but here's one I did the other day:

The guy singing Fordo of the Nine Fingers sounds like the guy that had the ending song to my ... what do you call those books? I was little and had a book about the Hobbit where you'd play the tape and they'd read it and did a little chime or something to turn the page. There was a song at the very end. I can't remember what it was....but that voice sounds really familiar.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? What song was it? I used to rewind the tape and play it over and over LOL

To: Overtaxed
I wouldn't recommend a 'puter at work with a soundcard in it. ;~D
To: HairOfTheDog
I have a soundcard, but no speakers! I miss my tunes!

RE Loren
"Yes, those were cute pictures, she was quite the beauty.
Sam, may I say, you have quite a talent for understatement."
Well, as one of the older members of this thread, I sometimes feel the need to maintain a certain amount of dignity :-D
I admit that my first reaction was more along the lines of "How come she is wearing so many clothes?"
To: Dawntreader
I found it!! They used a song from the animated film...The Greatest Adventure...that was what was at the end of the tape.
Oh my word....this is totally bringing me back!!

Remember that all of these undergarments were once called "unmentionables"?Yep... oh, for the good old days, when women's fashion was simple and plain...
To: Dawntreader; RMDupree
how do you capture an image from it?Uhm, sometimes the program you use to display it will have a function built in to capture the image (usually called screen capture or something similar). If it doesn't, then you'll need some other program to do it... sometimes image editing programs have screen capture functions built into them, or there are some small utilities available that do just screen capture.

"Hubba Hubba" is the new theme in the thread. :)
To: Sam Cree
I sometimes feel the need to maintain a certain amount of dignity I need to work on that... when I see such photos my vocabulary tends to degenerate into wolf whistles and shouts of "Hubba, hubba!"
To: RMDupree
