Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Well, they all came back once they realized the 60k was close. Then they left again. Would it surprise you to know that this does not surprise me?
I had an okay trip. LXG was showing at the drive-in. But, they started too early and it was really hard to see the first half hour. Of course, since I'd just seen it Saturday night, that was not as bad as if it had been my first viewing.

Rose and I saw LXG at the Dinner & a Movie place a few weeks ago. We both liked it.
Tried to see Pirates at the same place last Friday night, but they were sold out. So, we went to a "regular" theater instead and saw it there. Enjoyed it!

You've heard the Chicken-D's have R-U-N-N-O-F-T again? Yes, I am so disgusted. Driving home this afternoon trying to figure out whether to drive out to Albuquerque tomorrow after work. I think probably not. Although, I do have a friend there that I haven't seen in WAY too long.
But, what would be the point? I would accomplish nothing. I think I should focus on what to do in next term's elections.

It's inspiring to see my little pink wedge of the pie getting bigger.... I am starting to eyeball anything over 50 MB.... Like WORD - ACCESS, stuff I just use for work, you know... heh.... just kidding, but I did uninstall Parts of stuff, like wizards and help and example files, and all of Publisher, which I hate, and Front Page, which I may never learn how to use.

See, that's exactly where I'm at with this. And, we have mentioned party politics between ourselves. I'm thinking more participation on my behalf might at least be forthcoming. With someone who might have taken some action instead of sitting and watching!!!!

How big is your hard drive? They are getting so cheap these days, I've seen IBM 120GB drives for less than $100!

The thing is, when the RATS are in the majority, and redistrict as they see fit, they're praised for being so politically powerful. In Michigan, which lost two congressional seats, even the RINO papers where whining how unfair that those losses came out of the RATS' hide. I mean, just because Republicans were the majority, why should they exercise their power that way?
I think there's an unwritten rule that the RATS have to win, even if they lose. That was apparent from the election in 2000.
