Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Nice to see you back among the Hobbits, and Hobbit-like.
I forgot to tell you that my wife and daughter went to Mt. Mitchell in NC during the second week of July with our church youth group for teen camp. They had a great time.
They did some gem mining, one of the workers gave my wife a star sapphire (her favorite), plus they brought home a ruby, some more sapphires, an emerald, and sundry other stones. They also went whitewater rafting.
Are you near Mt. Mitchell?

football - the 'briefcase' (what our president needs on hand at all times in order to react to a threat of war) that went missing a short time while Clinton was presidue, cause the guy carrying it missed the plane or something. It was suggested, by quidam I think, that it had been removed from the toyings of Clinton during impeachment.
Turtle - as in - trust in the turtle, a tsunami is coming. More quidamspeak for trust in Ken Starr, cause he has something really big to drop on 'em, (I think).
All that was in the quidam threads when I first logged on to FR. (what were they called? -- Crudelle Bombshell 1 thru 5?) Interesting fun stuff. It has been a long time. and I have trouble remembering stuff from yesterday.

Thou shalt not go without pizza even whilst doing Atkins!
Make a crustless pizza. Pile everything into a shallow pan- meat on the bottom to make a pseudo crust, lotsa veggies like bell peppers, and cheese on top. Bake. Serve with a spoonful of sauce. It's more like casserole, but hey, it tastes right.
