Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hi Ruthy, saw your job situation, hope that your kind of worki will let you stay in Florida. If you don't insist on salt water the Ocala area, with its springs, rivers, and lakes, and the Ocala National forest is nice. Both pay rates and real estate prices are pretty low here!

I'm just a plain old secretary, LCS, so I can pretty much work anywhere.
I've considered (and still do) relocating, but the timing is just so bad with my oldest starting kindergarten next month. Starting school is stressful enough without being yanked out and put into a different school within the first few months.
If I do relocate, it will be next year. I plan on grabbing some local home magazines at Entmoot. :)

HI LCS!
Sorry about your expensive teeth.... My dad went through a bad bit too a while back and now is always on my case about taking care of mine. Yours is a good reminder that I need to get mine cleaned.
I just came in from my walk, went 4 times around even though it is hot, just to punish myself for not having been good about keeping it up lately!
As I post this, the pony decided to have a roll on the lawn. Shot the pictures through the window screen, didn't have time to go outside to catch it.

Yes, the fold is getting worse. I was going to apply some hobbitsalve and bandage, like a crayon and then tape. I thought of a marker too, but it would be a wet solution and might make it worse. I reinforced the Sting, and reinforced the back of the fold with tape. That was all I wanted to do without getting a second opinion.
I have the pics at home. I'll send some of them to Hair and then she'll see what I mean.

I heard the "pings" (well sorta) and HAD to rush right over to see what all is happening. Sooo...what's happening?
So MBY is sending our wounded little friend to Corin then to on to SuziQ. Will he then grace our humble home and poss. be vacationing with us?
The wear of his journey will diff. give him charater and class. Check out some of the pictures of Frodo in ROTK...rather beat-up from his journey.
