Have you asked yourself lately..."How did it come to this?"

I have a feeling we'll all be asking that over the course of the next decade; with regard to world affairs, terrorism, a PC-ified America...et cetra

Yes, actually. And it appears that AM has swept up the mess for now. A few crumbs remain, but vigilance is needed. Just because there's hoodlums in the neighborhood doesn't mean we have to settle for grafitti.

...Of course, now I'm feeling guilty about previous spamming...

Looks like they've been cleaned up, although a couple may be starting again...

Me neither, but when a lovely young lady asks for help....well, who am I to tell her no?

*bats eyelashes* Why thank you!

I went yesterday afternoon to a matinee for my second treat and had the same experience with people I didn't know sitting in front of me and a little down the row from me.

I would've felt a little more comfortable shushing people I don't know...

I'm sure 'critical thinking' will be considered to be any kind of thought that brings you out on the left side of the issue.

That is sure what it seems to be when it is pushed in the public schools!

...*blush* I'm happy to hear you say that, Master Dwarf. I've developed a rather fond attachment to my own set of ears. :)

Did they have to be so vocal about it?

a sharp punch to the base of the skull is a great conversation stopper...

They have up on the marquee 'The Twin Towers' UGH!!

Seeing that peeves me too. Are they too lazy to look at their own movie posters or what? Far be it from me to even remotely hope that they have ever read the book.

Daniel Neman obviously has never read anything deeper than the funny papers. What a maroon!

Love your response!

We just need to report it as soon as we see it!

...Don't say the "s" word in front of me. I barely escaped a serious scolding yesterday!

I shushed. The guy then asked if I wanted to explain what was being said. It was the scene where Grima was murmuring in Theoden's ear. They began with comments about how, if they had been our heros they would not have left their weapons at the door. Then went on to converse so that their own comments were actually preventing them from hearing dialogue. That was when I shushed. Then they asked for an explanation. I shushed and ignorred.

The first time I saw the film I was on the 3rd row from the front. Too close. Yesterday I was on the 3rd row from the back. It was better to view.

I was not quite so disgusted with Faramir yesterday. I still wish that he hadn't gone trying to get at the ring - even with his sword. But, in paying more attention to each of the characters yesterday Eomer stood out more this time. I guess I merely observed him the first time. Yesterday I saw that even though he has only a small amount of screen time it was developed well to show his character as I've interpreted from Tolkein. That was pleasant.

I did see the saddle horn on Shadowfax. I was looking for it after the discussion here though. Ian was holding it at first, then let go and it was obvious. (To those looking.)

Not for the first nor last time, I wish we lived close enough for us to watch it all together at the same time.

Was PJ telling us that Arwen actually sent the kiss and the horse to Aragorn?

That is what I made of it. Arwen was kissing him in his dream and then the horse comes as if sent by her and kisses him. I thought it was very cute, touchingly. How did you ladies have free eye-time enough to see a white rope on Shadowfax?? Ya'll are very astute. I can't wait to see it again. Tomorrow, must goooo!

(I'm sorry Mom, uh, and kids, I couldn't get your Christmas shopping done this year, and there will be no cookies and cakes. But, I'll be making a donation to the needy in your name. Have you seen the TTT yet though? Wanna go?)

I would LOVE to see this with you all. I'm so glad I finally chimed in here! I have desired to have someone to have these discussions with in person as I had where I lived before. Thanks for that.

Alas, tomorrow, I leave for Christmas vacation back home and will already miss you for a couple of weeks. (Unless someone gets me a laptop for CHRISTmas) However, I will be back home (hmmm can I go so far as refer to this as a return to my Shire?) so I will have lots of OLD friends with whom to discuss the movie. And see it 2 or 3 more times. hehe
