He should have went back in the early part of the beginning of this administration...once he made that annoucnement where he'd be willing to share chairmanship of committees with the Dems...he is a go-along-to-get-along, and he is NOT a public speaker of any stretch of the imagination!! He has termina Foot-In-Mouth disease.

From what I understand, last night Lott all but promised a new "Great Society". Given till January 6 to pander to the left is not a good idea for the GOP. I just heard a snippet by Lil' Tommy Daschle saying something to the effect that "Jellyfish" must act on all this legislation he's proposing if he's truly sorry.
TRANSLATION: The RATS don't want Lott to go anywhere, he's too useful to them now. And that's why he needs to step down, or be pushed if necessary, and it can't wait till January 6.

There were many chances to change horses, yet his colleagues continued to support him even enough to re-elect him a month ago.If he was THAT ineffective and unpopular, where was the staunch opposition to Lott in his own caucus?Maybe they realize it's a job that only he can do out of the bunch they have.
Just a thought ;-)
