We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Algore, the man who was bred to be President,
after being told he cannot win in 2004.

In other news:

New York City transit workers remain on the job, claiming progress is being made in contract negotiations.

The Coast Guard intends to deploy drone aircraft to keep watch in the Florida Straits.

Senator Nickles is calling for a new election for Senate Majority Leader. Word has it that Rove would prefer the Senate be led by Sen. Frist.

And UOx42 claims he wanted to attack North Korea in 1994 when it was revealed that Nation was pursuing nuclear weapons, unless Pyongang agreed to freeze operations.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

"but it takes forever to relocate and reposition everything."

You're telling me! I still spend every day looking for "stuff"....and I moved in November! Still MIA is one sub-woofer from my stereo system, which I think is long gone.....

re. your no. 8 on the Iowa Cuacuses

That Des Moines Register article gives a mighty good show for why primaries are stupid. I hope the Democrats keep it up.

Sorry for the lousy picture. But those are the mice from Bratling's platter the other night. I'll post the platters in a minute.

This was the veggie platter. The right side radish mouse has lost it's ear in it's travels. So much for presentation.

Not sure if you two are around tonight; just wanted to tell you about my day. Four hours at the high school rehearsing, then out to the University to play for a couple of student "juries", then an appointment, then home for a bit; the cable guy came to change our service over to digital and to put in the outlet for Roadrunner; while he was here someone called about our ping-pong table, came over, and ended up buying it for the price we wanted.:) Then back to the high school to play for the concert. Then I drove around a bit looking at Christmas lights; saw some very beautiful things.

Found out that girlchild will be back in the States on the 23rd; now have to figure out how to get her home from Chicago; my s-i-l and b-i-l live an hour from O'Hare and they have offered to pick her up and then bring her with them on the 24th when they come to GB for Christmas. We are seriously considering taking them up on this offer; as much as I would love to be at the airport to greet her, it is SO CLOSE to Christmas.........and we will have so much to do, as we are hosting dinner for 20 or so on Christmas day............

Boychild #2 is close to a decision on next semester, leaning heavily toward taking a break..............

Boychild #1 just signed a new contract at work and has a nice new raise and will be getting a check for retroactive pay so he is a happy camper.:)

I am done teaching for awhile so this week is devoted to Christmas prep and choir rehearsals.

And that's about all the news from Mozie-ville.:)

This was the savory platter. Either the picture was from the wrong side of the table, or it was served facing the wrong way. So think of it from the other side of the table. Once again, a presentation issue. But I can't complain. I was trying to sleep on the couch with a headache.

Stuffed tiny new potatoes. I cut them in half, used a melon scooper to scoop them out, roasted them and stuffed them with a cream cheese, sour cream, diced bacon, gorganzola cheese kind of thing.

Oh, and they are to the RIGHT of the devilled eggs. The picture was taken from the wrong side. And there are about 6 eggs missing from the platter. LOL! Not that I'm picky about my presentations or anything.

Wow, what a busy day. I just got home from my mom's house. She is making a recipe book and a birthday book for gifts this year. I told her I would print up some blank calendars for her, which turned out to be a lot harder and more time-consuming than I thought...I got the first calendar formatted, showed it to my mom, she said OK, so I made them for the whole year. THEN she decides she wants a smaller font in the day boxes, etc. I finally ended up creating the calendars through WordPerfect, saved them each individually, and she is going to type in the birthdays of everyone on the appropriate days. I love my mom, but sometimes...:)

Very nice platters. I think I am going to copy your idea of the radish mice for a Christmas platter for a party.

I am off to bed, I am rather stressed. The woman in the lab who works with me is on vacation this week, and it was a lot more stressful today than I thought it would be. /whine
