I open the door for women and children. I keep my elbows off the table. I say excuse me when I burp. I'm quite well mannered. When it comes to manners that make sense. Taking a hat off just to go inside? Where's the sense in that? I'm an advocate of COMMON SENSE manners. Not pointless, out of date manners.

The only reason I might agree with Tex on this one for casual indoor settings is that guys who have been wearing their hat all day look better with it on than if they take it off and have hat hair.
