We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The Pope has accepted the resignation of Cardinal Law.
Jimmah has offerred to negotiate a peace between Israel and the Palestinians, but only if the two groups and the United States ask him to.
The United States has characterized the Iraqi report as incomplete - saying it does not detail things America knows has gone on in their nuclear program, for example.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Wellll.....not really. Although something strange (what else is new) happened to me the other day. I was walking in the front yard picking up branches that had fallen because of the wind/rain we had on Monday. When I was in Hilton Head in August, I kept locking Mr. DJ88 in his truck because the remotes are exactly alike. My Dad thought that was so funny and we laughed about it all the time. I told him that I needed a keychain so I could put it next to my remote. He said he would buy me a Buccaneer keychain the next time he was here. As I got closer to the flower bed, which is in the back part of the front lawn, guess what I found? A Buccanneer keychain. I thought that maybe it was Brian's--it wasn't. Then I asked our next door neighbors if it belonged to them. It didn't. A couple of hours later, my neighbor and his 2 children came down to the house and I asked them if they had dropped it. Nope.
Now you are probably thinking, "Someone probably threw it out their car window and DJ's gone mad." That would definitely be a possiblity---but they couldn't have thrown it that far from a car....I even made Mr. DJ88 throw it from the street 5 times. It never got past the middle of the lawn.
I guess my Dad had kept his word...that would be just like him.
Fox!
ROFLOL....I did not know that grits played football. I guess I need to really pay attention. ;-)
I have a feeling that even though Trent Lott has said he "will not resign" as Senate Majority leader + the fact that Pres. Bush said yesterday that he didn't think that was necessary, he may STILL resign "for the good of the party". Some names are being thrown around as "replacements"...Frist, Owens and McConnell.
I guess we will just have to wait until 5:30. He obviously wants to get this out before the big network news airs.
Naw. He'd volunteer, then get an injection with something else.
Tell the lawn thanks... :)
I think it was the Chinese flu.
"There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffled me.
What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?
Today, I found out. From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality, which the children could remember.
The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.
Two turtledoves were the Old and New Testaments.
Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.
The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.
The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.
Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit: Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.
The eight maids a-milking were the eight Beatitudes.
Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.
The ten lords a-leaping were the Ten Commandments.
The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.
The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in The Apostles' Creed.
So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol."
