AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 691) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 12, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 12/12/2002 4:18:16 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

WAR ON TERROR ALERT-- The Pravda is writing this morning the Adminstration has credible evidence that Al Qa'eda took possession of a chemical weapon, containing VX nerve gas, in either October or November from a middle eastern country, which was named. The country? IRAQ!

In a related issue, the President has ordered the military to receive smallpox innoculations, and the shots will be made available to the American public for anyone who wants them.

Otherwise...

Had power this morning! Yippee! Had three separate outages yesterday, each between 1 and 1 1/2 hours. The last coming in the evening. The morning commute was treacherous - a lot of water had refrozen over the evening, so it was very slow going.

North Korea has announced they will bring back on line an old-style nuclear reactor they had planned on decommissioning. Their reasoning is the plant is necessary because the United States has suspended oil shipments.

China, meanwhile, is expected to try and urge her neighbor (North Korea) to adopt a "different behavior."

A report shows that up to 70% of '911' calls placed from cell phones were in error. One of the leading causes is programming '911' as a speed dial number.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning! I am pleased to report that Mr. Marple, on the Atkins diet since Monday, has lost 5 pounds. This is good because it will encourage him to keep going. (I may go insane with explaining what he can and cannot have, however. "No, you can't have tuna salad because there is sugar in the pickle relish. No, you cannot have corn or lima beans. No, you cannot have grape juice." )

However, he is plesed with having lost 5 pounds in 3 days, so I think he will keep at it.

Back later. I am going to check the news.

Guennie, Delay is in the House. It has to be a Senator.

Cheer up. Ted Turner apparently said something far worse yesterday, while speaking to a UN group. Fox reported this, and this is a paraphrase, not an exact quote:

I had lots of money one day, just like the World Trade Center. The next day, it was all gone...just like the World Trade Center. Hehehe.

Yes, he laughed. So we now have a liberal to chase around about a stupid quote. The Lord does provide sometimes!

But it didn't even make the front page of The Washington Times.

Back in a bit with The Daily Update.

Good morning to you... and all!

I checked out the Dr Atkins web site you posted but it won't let me download any of the information. I tried to register but they have failed to send me a "confirmation" number so I can log in. I've called customer service, they said they'd make sure I got one but haven't received it yet.

Maybe I'm not supposed to be on this Atkins thing... but it would be nice to be able to at least look at the foods I'm not supposed to be eating... or the other way around, those that would prove helpful.

On the Trent Lott disaster... this is a perfect example of the double standard of the 'rats and the media. Clinton, Gore, Byrd and lots of others have made much more harmful comments but it doesn't last in the news.

That said... I think Lott should not be Majority Leader. He's not a leader and has little back-bone. He is obviously a good organizer... good in detail and has lots of political friends. Nickels, Imhofe or Frist might be good candidates but I don't have any confidence the pubbies in the Senate will take any action on this.

The Daily Update – December 12, 2002

REMEMBER THE TRADE CENTER!!

AMERICA’S WAR ON TERROR – Day 458

The news as reported in The Washington Times:

[Note – All links go to The Washington Times’ website.]

1. The UN is upset the Americans opted to be the party to copy the Iraqi report for the benefit of the other four permanent Security Council members; Kofi Annan said someone less deeply involved with the Iraqi dispute should have done the reproduction.

[YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING! THIS IS OF IMPORT?! What does it matter who COPIES a document so long as all of the stuff is copied? And we did it as a favor – we reproduced a stack of paper four feet high!! UN = UTTER NONESENSE!!]

U.S., U.N. spar over Iraq report

2. Republicans rally around Trent Lott.

[Nah, not this one. He should not be Majority Leader.]

GOP defends Lott's intent

3. After sending a message to North Korea by seizing a shipment of Scud missiles bound for Yemen, the United States decided to let the shipment reach Aden. Yemen, for its part, vowed never to buy missiles from North Korea again.

[Chess. For a handful of inaccurate missiles, we take away one of North Korea’s weapons markets. The squeeze is on.]

U.S. lets ship take missiles to Yemen

4. Canada announced a total ban on Hezbollah activities within its borders.

[About time!]

Canada bans all Hezbollah activities

5. In a sign of just how bad illegal immigration has become, if patients cannot afford to be treated in a Mexican hospital, Mexican ambulances bring them to the United States under humanitarian reasons for treatment here – where they cannot be refused.

[Sick.]

Mexican medics take sick to U.S.

6. The story about how Santa would burn up in the atmosphere continues to circulate around the Internet.

[‘Tis a classic. LOL!]

A vicar collides with Santa; the elf survives

We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THE SOCIETY!!

Once you get a few pounds off by the means of any diet it will make you want to continue, tell his to stick with it and it will get to be the norm.

KING of the world, Kofi Annan is a joke, he dislikes the USA something terrible like, W put it on him in his UN speech and it galls him to no end.

Yes, I know it hasn't been widely reported about Turner....yet.

However, it took from Friday to Sunday before anything was said about Lott's statement....and then it was Tim Russert (no doubt at the request of the DNC) who publicized it.

If the RNC is on the ball, we will hear about this on Rush and other talk radio, Drudge, and then the Washington Times will pick it up.

We will see what happens.

So we now have a liberal to chase around about a stupid quote. The Lord does provide sometimes!

Actually, here's one that I think surpasses Turner.

As we all know, Jimmah is in Norway to receive his Nobel Prize. Norway is all bent out of shape about being on the "B" list of Security Council nations - those who be receiving an edited version of the Iraqi report.

From my #1 in The Daily Update--

Norway and Syria have been the most vocal critics in the council, but envoys from several other nations have said privately that they are surprised at Washington's "nerve" and "arrogance."

Former President Jimmy Carter, in Norway to accept the Nobel Peace Prize this week, yesterday joined his hosts in arguing that all 15 council members should receive the unedited report — even if that means giving countries such as Syria a virtual recipe for making weapons of mass destruction.

"My general inclination is, 'Why not let the entire membership of the Security Council see the report?' That would be my personal preference," Mr. Carter said.

Asked specifically whether nations such as Syria should see the full report, Mr. Carter said, "Yes, of course. Syria is a member of the Security Council."

And that, folks, is straight from this year's recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Pubs are rallying around Lott, they see it as a bleeding fish in the water and the democracts are trying to attack him. They are so two faced.

Our problem is that the RNC needs a department solely devoted to tracking stupid Rat quotes. We could employ 10 people full time at this mission, and they still wouldn't probably be able to handle the work load.

Makes sense so, it won't be done. Seems like the RNC would learn from the demoflops by now, attack, attack, attack, I am tired of them being the 'Mr. Nice Guy' all the time.
