My turn to be up at the wrong time now ...... *sigh* ..... might as well do some good while I'm up.
Last night Brad's Gramma posted the following on the Dose. If anyone can offer her any advice, please do so on Friday's thread and ping her to it. Thanks!
Oh, and if someone could post this on Friday's thread that would be helpful .... not sure when I'll get here.
OK, Ladies......we have a problem at our household and I NEED input. Kayak, PLEASE ask around on ATRW tomorrow if you have time..!!! Santa came to our town tonight....the police go up & down the streets, bells & whistles & sirens and all, announcing his coming. Well, the Dude gets here, Brad gets his turn at climbing up onto his lap & giving his request.
A dog. The boy wants his OWN dog. I have a shepherd, my one daughter has a weiner dog who she brings over EVERY day so I can dog sit (!!!), and Brad wants his own dog. His mom, my daughter, is beside herself......
H-E-L-P!!!! (He's 9, so no, a STUFFED ANIMAL WON'T CUT IT!)

Good morning Kay....oh boy, a dog eh??? If Brad's Mom is ready for one, she could try to find one at the shelter. There are plenty of dogs there that people throw away who are looking for a good home.

Shelters have dogs that need a home...but explain to him that it isn't a toy that will be returned when he is done playing with it....it's a living breathing animal that has feelings.

Just a all american boy who wants a dog, get him one, maybe a cocker or a wee little dog but get him a dog!!!!

I just pulled this picture up and starred at it, geez, it looks soooo good, but I will not give in. The coffee yes and if a small bowl of grits were here I could engage in destruction of that food item.
