In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
ukase \yoo-KAYS; -KAYZ; YOO-kays; -kayz\, noun:
1. In imperial Russia, a published proclamation or order having the force of law.
2. Any order or decree issued by an authority; an edict.
Etymology: Ukase derives from Russian ukaz, "decree," from Old Church Slavonic ukazu, "a showing, proof," from u-, "at, to" + kazati, "to point out, to show."

hope you are beating the pup, as you advised me to do! ; ) When I catch her I am! LOL
I am going to buy her some outside toys this weekend. I think that is her problem. She has tons of inside toys (all properly mutilated and mangled) but nothing that can handle the elements. Raquetballs and frizzbees come to mind. :-)

i started out in a great mood this AM til i discovered that the brief i had written at home yesterday did not make it onto the disk in its final form. i have asked xshub to see if it is on the machine there and to email it to me as an attachment but i am going to have to retype the dang thing from scratch i just know it. luckily i printed it out and didn't just rely on the disk.

You should do what I do. Immediately after I print out something that has to be turned over I attach it, and email it to my account at BC...
