The kindergarten had a bell choir. The bells were one of several colors. They played a tape of "Silent Night" and the teacher held up cards with the different colors as the appropriate note or notes were needed. It sounded great, and the kids were so proud!
I had never seen bells done that way before, and it was surprisingly good.
Also, my grandchildren were of course cute and stellar performers (except Nathan got a bit of stage fright...but there were over 300 in the audience).
I wanted to tell you about something I did today.:)
I was decorating my bathroom for Christmas and I wanted some kind of Christmas-y window treatment. I had already searched a thrift store for Christmas curtain yesterdays but had no luck. I was too lazy to try anywhere else and too cheap to pay for new ones. So I took a cafe-length white lace panel I had on hand and used that for the bottom of the window, and I used a white lace dresser scarf for a valance. And then.....this is the coup de grace........I took some very nice window clings..a large wreath, a "Merry Christmas" banner, and a couple of smaller things.......and I stuck them to the window shade.......so that you can see them through the white lace curtains.:) I just wanted to add a little color. It looks very pretty.
I found these fabulous shower curtain hooks in a catalog..........they are about 1 1/2" in length, in four different Christmas shapes...a tree, snowman, bell, and Santa. They go with the shower curtain I found in the catalog also.
AND for the downstairs bathroom I found blue hand towels with snowmen on them, which match my blue bathroom perfectly, and that is where I have my snowman collection! (This is the larger of the 2 bathrooms.)
Our tree this year is all done in silver and gold, since that will also be the color theme of our dinner.
