I'm sorry, I asked what version of Windoes, not Outlook. Anyway, can you open Outlook without highlighting te offending email? If so, browse the Tools menu for a Macros option and turn off macro processing, or set security to the highest possible level.
If this can't be none you may need to runinstall or disable scripting on your computer. This varies from version to version of Windows, but can usually be found in Control Panel, Add/remove Programs, Windos Components.
