WEAX UPDATE: Looking at some of the QPF (quantitative precipitation forecasts) associated with the developing system in Texas...
Locations in central Tennessee could see up to 2" of rain-equivalent precipitation. If that falls as snow - which is an open question at the moment for that area - that could be substantial (15-20").
QPFs for the eastern seaboard are showing rain-equivalent precipitation estimates in the 0.5"-1.0" range.
The QPFs currently support snow predictions of the following amounts within 100 miles of the Atlantic coast:
SC - Rain
NC - Rain
VA - Rain south, 4-6" central, 8-12" north
MD - 6-8"
DE - 4-6"
NJ - 4-6"
NY - 3-5"
CT - 4-6"
RI - 5-7"
MA - 6-8"
NH - 6-8"
ME - 4-6"

Is this the first TP warning of the season, Chair?? Yes, it is. We'll have to wait and see whether it needs to be upgraded to an ABANDON YOUR CARS NOW alert.

A GOOD A.M. TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE MS GULF COAST, USA!!!
21 days to Christmas, got your gifts? Left anyone out? Did you get spouse that something special? Oh yeah, if they say 'I don't won't anything for Christmas, don't believe them, they don't mean it.
I have jury duty today so I will be missing. Random selection they say, I have been 'random' picked four years in a row. I have written them in the past, I am retired law enforcement, VERY pro police, have not use for criminal defence attorneys, getting a innocent person if one thing but to try to beat the system with loopholes is another, pro death sentence, very critical of politicans, they lie and rip off the citizens with the open ended govt charge cards, oh well, do my duty I say, they accept me, I will do the right thing, nothing better than putting a few folks in the pen.
My thought for the day is: "Failure in people is caused by lack of determination than lack of talet".
Prayers for OUR President W, for all those with special needs, please, all pray to stay free from illness and, for the elderly, we have seen just a lot of christmas past but each year they get better and better, with our love for all of you young folks growing by leaps and bounds.

#26...hmmmm, I don't see Florida listed there :^
Wonder what our palm trees would look like dusted with snow :^)

"
I don't mind the cold, but I HATE the wind and cold."
I like the cold, the wind, the snow, .............I like it all; the colder and windier and snowier, the better.:)
My son and I were watching the weather channel yesterday........they were showing the stats for the day in our area........."Dew point: 4."
We just looked at each other and laughed. We both agree: that's a whole lot better than "Dew point: 75".....which is what we put up with for a large part of the summer.:(
