In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Today is going to a bit different here at WFTD. I call it "the ultimate review". I have linked the WFTD from everyday since September. Students will be required to submit homework that uses a MINIMUM of 3 words from previous WFTD's. The more words you use in your homework, the better your grade. Extra credit will be given to those who submit examples, in the form of links to outside web sites, photos, or other images, along with their homework. Extra credit will also be given to our more poetically inclined students. Hand in your homework in the form of a poem, and your grade will go up.
I will be strict about grading today, so, hand in homework only using the minimum of 3 words, and you will get a minimum effort grade of a C. Failure to turn in homework will result in a meeting with principal JimRob.
Students who have many absences over the past few weeks might want to use this day to improve their overall grades.
You may use any of the forms (noun, adjective, etc.) given that day. I am only listing the first form.

Good Morning Class. Welcome to School!
Here we have a curious quandary; the Clintons, those quacks qua criminals, those quondam quasi queens' of kitsch, are selling ornaments not fit for a ditch. Those vile, vituperate, villainous vermin, with their vicious venal vacuous vapidity
I'm not buying that bastion of bellicosity, the bridge of doom.
Whyis, please stop taunting poor Robert. You both do not want a grade reduction, do you?
That's odd, I could have sworn that you weren't tight enough, as you unravel with the ease of an apron string.
But perhaps you were just a frayed knot?
Excuse me, took a few minutes to answer. I was just tied up downstairs...
Er, uhm. Tied down upstares?
I knew you were just bound and determined to chain yourself to the action. You really need to cuff that enthusiasm of yours.
(Gets worried look for second, then checks shoe laces.)
Whoah - I was gettin' scared there that I might trippe up and get a bad recording of this fracas.
(Wouldn't want to blow it ya know.)
(sing song voice)Thank you Miss Teacher!!!! </sing song voice)
How was your Turkey Day?

End of first quarter. Go Irish
Speaking of loose strings and untied laces .... I just noticed.
WOW!
Er, uhm, could you, uh, turn, I mean, rotate your monitor down just a tad more .....
