It was a tough road - he was literally a walking dead man. From the day I pushed him into Emergency until the day he had his 5 bypasses was exactly one week. The only reason it was a week and not the next day was that he also had double pneumonia which they were trying to clear up. It was a pretty unbelievable time.

I know how scary it is to go through a time like that... my husband had congestive heart failure and kidney failure and went into a coma just after Thanksgiving 9 years ago... but he came through that and lived another 4 years after the doctors had really given up on him.
