Sounds plenty nasty to me, but what do I know? Maybe HLL will weigh in on this one; she has one, and I don't. ;-)

I don't have one of these but I'm going to guess that there must be parts inside that should not be immersed in water. I would take it apart and wash it really well with soapy water and one of those double-sided sponges, the type with the scrubber on one side. It is probably safe to rinse it under running water, just don't soak it.

Good luck!

Thank you! I have looked at it and for the life of me I can not figure out what there is about it that can not be washed. The chrome part is flaking off but it was like that when I damp wiped it before I used it new. I wish I could take it back but I had it for years before I ever used it. Oh well I am going to wash it by hand and let the chips fall where they may I can always get new rods and wheels. Or maybe get a different kind of rotisserie. Thank you for taking time to reply I know how busy you and everyone are today. Have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving!

The little one is sitting here giggling, she loves the cow. Thanks JL! We're off to my parent's in a few to fill our tummies, then we'll visit the in-laws this evening.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Good evening. The dishes are done, the tablecloth is in the washing machine and James Bond is blaring away in my ear.

Good job with it - I'm sitting here like a fat stuffed goose. Good grief, I did not need second helpings of anything. ;-)

Good evening, another TG dinner's under our belts, literally. I may resume eating by Tuesday.

Wow, how about this:

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Zsa Zsa Gabor was in a coma in hospital today after a car she was riding in struck a light pole Wednesday on Sunset Boulevard, a family spokesman said. Gabor suffered multiple broken bones, cuts and bruises in Wednesday's accident, said Gerd Birkmann, a spokesman for her husband, Frederic von Anhalt.

"The worst injuries are to her head," Birkmann said from Germany.

Gabor, 85, was a passenger in the front seat of a car driven by her hairdresser, said von Anhalt, who was reached at the hospital early today. He would not comment on the extent of her injuries, but said she remained unconscious.

"The motor went into the front seat," he said.

Her hairdresser is also in hospital, von Anhalt said. The accident happened around 8 p.m. in West Hollywood as the two planned to go shopping, Birkmann said. full story.

Hey, everybody! Oh my...why do we talk about stuffing the turkey when we're really stuffing ourselves?!! I had to change into sweats the minute we got home. Mom, bless her heart, is staying overnight. She has to have help with everything: walking down the hall, getting a glass of water, getting in and out of bed. Dear thing...she took good care of us for many years, so I'm glad to have this chance to repay her a little. See y'all tomorrow...sweet dreams.

I cooked my turkey in my Ronco Rotisserie today, and as always it turned out to perfection.

I always wash my rod and wheels. The wheels look awful, but I use a Brillo pad on the rod. It hasn't seemed to have hurt it, but I do spray the rods with PAM before I put on the meat.

Go ahead and soak everything and wash it, it's just metal.

I changed into flannel pants as soon as everyone left. The individual who invented elastic waistbands should be nominated for Sainthood.

You need to render the goose and drain off as much fat as possible or you could have the Fire Dept over unexpectedly ;-)Put it on a rack, with water in the pan.My mother made this once for Austrian brother in law, and what a pain!!

pssst....goose is really overrated ;-)It has none of the rich taste of dark turkey meat.I can find out more on how best to cook it and how long per pound, as well.

Making a pumpkin pie, of all things. Since we spent TG with my family yesterday, I'm making the pie for Mr. M to take to his dad tomorrow. The Pubbies are riding in a Christmas parade this afternoon, so I also just finished a "God Bless America" sign to put on our van.

Ha ha, looks like at least one celebrity is a closet conservative, according to Page Six:

SINGER Dannii Minogue ought to be writing for Pat Buchanan. The sexy sister of Kylie Minogue tells British GQ she is displeased with the hordes of Asian immigrants pouring into her hometown of Queensland, Australia. "Even some street signs are in Asian," she huffed. She also blasts British P.M. Tony Blair for allowing crime to explode in London, where she now lives: "This country is in an appalling state. I feel sorry for people . . . who are afraid to let their children walk down the street." When the reporter suggested that the root problem was poverty, Minogue sniffed, "These people aren't poor. They have satellite dishes . . . they wear Nike trainers."

Ugh, what's wrong with the Republican "leadership"?

Sen. Trent Lott (R-Miss.) is borrowing from all quarters in his quest for a best seller. The Senate majority leader is working on a book of congressional portraits modeled after President John F. Kennedy's "Profiles in Courage." Lott wants to call it "Leadership."

Lott's office had no explanation as to why he'd use the same title as Rudy Giuliani's memoir. But the lawmaker tells Roll Call that his book will look at 16 members of Congress, including Rep. Charles Rangel (D-Harlem), Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and possibly Lott's rival, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

Of Rangel, he says: "I can tell you the inside story on the African Trade Bill. The key player that showed leadership was Charlie Rangel. He could have killed it and accused us of being racist. But he stepped up and said. 'No, let's get this done.'" NY Daily News.

Good Morning! Crisp and cool here in the sunshine state. We had a nice Thanksgiving but were missing three of the family. My niece went into the hospital yesterday so SIL stayed in town to be with her. Very weird what's happening to my niece. She had severe pain in one shoulder that started three weeks ago, no injury that would have caused it. After many trips to the doctor, he decided the tendon must be pinched and sent her to physical therapy. The day she started PT it was very swollen and the therapist wouldn't mess with it and sent her back to the doctor. He took some blood and yesterday morning discovered she had a white blood cell count of over 30,000. He called and said get to the hospital. Four doctors have looked at her and none of them know what to make of it. An MRI and a sonogram along with trying to retrieve fluid with a needle show no fluid at all. Everyone is baffled. Her white blood cell count continues to rise. I'm waiting this morning to hear what happens next.

Please say a prayer that the doctors will figure out what's going on and fix her up.

Mountaineer,

Lott's office had no explanation as to why he'd use the same title as Rudy Giuliani's memoir. But the lawmaker tells Roll Call that his book will look at 16 members of Congress, including Rep. Exsqueezme?! Lott is a numbskull. I wish Nichols had challenged him for majority leader.
