In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
bouleversement\bool-vair-suh-MAWN\, noun
:
1. Complete overthrow; a reversal; a turning upside down.
Etymology: Bouleversement comes from French, from Old French bouleverser, "to overturn," from boule, "ball" (from Latin bulla) + verser, "to overturn" (from Latin versare, from vertere, "to turn").
Good moring, class!

You've never seen a flock of birds in England?
They are, m'lady, a classic example of the British darlings.....
Good eatin' I've been told.
To: xsmommy; hobbes1
See above.....
The tiger understands, but .... a lass, it seems to have gone over your head.
But a bush on the bird is worth less than two in the hand ....
Or was that two hands in the bush is worth a bash on the head?

Next year, I resolve to be more... diligent. :)

I'll have you know neither "I" nor the "Tiger" nor the other croquettes were part of this international survey....
And a good thing too.
(I'd hate to see the world's results get skewed based on such a small, but important, sample population.)
