In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Good Morning Class. Welcome to School!
Teacher's note:
Today we will be playing a little game. As you can see, the forms of the WFTD are given in the order of ADJECTIVE, NOUN, and last, ADVERB. You must carefully watch what the student ahead of you turns in for his/her homework, because you will be required to use the form following that which was previously used. For example, if he or she uses the noun form, you must use the adverb form. If the adverb form is used, the next student's homework must contain the adjective form. Points WILL be subtracted for failure to follow along. This little game will give you all the opportunity to learn from each other by scanning other student's homework. Do not disappoint Mistress Bella. You know how cranky she is on Mondays.
That's just wrong.
Stillers, Giants, and Baltimore... hosed me.
A) Jello is not salad. It is dessert.
B) The only thing that should be added to jello is fruit and whipped topping.
BTW, I thought you were part Polish. Aren't you going to fix Pierogi z Kiszonej Kapusty, Golabki, Klopsy and Jablka Smazone w Ciescie?
Pitt or Miami could get them still.
Frankly I kind of hope they win out so Ohio State v. Miami is the national championship game.
Nope I took the Giants, who only won by 2, need to win by 4 or more. So the correct bet was the Redskins with the points, who knew.
MEATLOAF STUFFED WITH EGGS (Klopsy)
A simple yet satisfying Polish dish.
2 eggs, hard-boiled
50g stale bread
25g onion
20g butter
500g ground beef, pork or a mixture of both
1 egg, beaten
25g breadcrumbs
1 tbs chopped fresh parsely
oil/butter to grease baking dish
salt and pepper
Peel the hard-boiled eggs and quater them lengthwise. Soak the stale bread in water, and when soft, squeeze out the excess water and mince. Peel and chop the onion and fry in butter until lightly golden - set aside. Mince the meat with the bread, onion and beaten egg. Add salt and pepper and knead until all ingredients are combined.
Sprinkle the breadcrumbs on a large board and place the meat mixture on top, spreading it fairly thin to form a rectangle (A4 size). Place egg quarters along one side, pointing them towards the middle. Sprinkle with parsely. Roll the meat up into a thick cylinder, starting from the side where the eggs are so that they will be in the middle.
Heat the oven to 220C/425F. Grease a fairly deep baking dish. Add the meatloaf, basting with some oil/butter. Cover tray with foil and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes, basting frequently. Cut into slices and serve. Serves 4.
