AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION - Days 665 and 666) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 16, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 11/16/2002 4:33:01 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Jiang Zemin may have stepped down as President of China, but he still retains control of that Nation's military.

Director Tom Ridge is expected to be nominated as the first Secretary of Homeland Security.

And Britain's Medical Officer (akin to our Surgeon General) announced that his country will begin an education campaign to inform British subjects how to respond to a biological or chemical attack.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Thanks...

You've got mail!

The Vietnamese have got it completely wrong if they accuse Mr. Duong of being a traitor. You're absolutely right... he did what any good commander would have done. Drive out the enemy with all availale forces.

The enemy also high tailed it into Cambodia after the fighting at LZ Albany.

If these Vietnamese have a problem with that, well then they don't understand a damned thing.

Thanks for your thoughts...

Oh My Goodness Raven.

A total loss no doubt.

My wife and I lost our house to a fire in 96. We too had to fight like hell with the insurance Company. Don't give up!

God Bless.

I know what you're going through.

The walking is making me feel a lot better about myslef, gone from 268 to 251, been on 251 for three days now and that has me more determined. I drink lots of grapefruit juice, eat small meals (drink a glass of grapefruit juice when you sit down to eat, it works), eat lots of broiled chinken, don't snack, leave off the cokes and such, drink lots of water.

Good afternoon! I am going to try the grapefruit juice trick. Can't hurt!

Went and picked up my car...nothing wrong but a bad battery cable, so the repair charge (for once) was minimal. The War Wagon soldiers on, with over 300,000 miles on her!

Went to pick up a few things at the grocery, then to the Hallmark Store for their open house. Got a bit in the Christmas mood, so I think I will start getting things out today.

The new cats are making themselves at home. The dog has finally realized they are NOT going away, so she has decided to ignore them. I bet by January they are all sleeping together...LOL! (Dog already will sleep with my cat, Charlie.)

Senators voted 65-29 Friday to limit debate, in a sign the final measure will pass with or without the controversial measures. Daschle said the bill would come to a vote on Monday.

The most interesting vote of this lame duck session was the cloture vote. It showed the measure of Daschles support. It shows 94 senators voted and 16 Democrats voted with the Republicans. Note they all knew the Republicans has put some things they hate in the bill. Not only did the Republicans take stuff out they put stuff in. You can see how in charge Daschle really is.

Sixteen democrats voted with the Republicans

and 6 Democrats were not even present up to vote. Put that in your liberal pipe and smoke it.

That means there are 16 Democrats that know that to get their state in the highway bill or that military base retained or expanded, or some provision a big donor wants, they are going to have to kiss some Republican committee chairmans butt.

The minority in the senate can stop anything if they have 40 members that will vote to stop it. The problem is they can't do anything they don't have 60 votes to do. And there are going to be 52 angry Republicans. It looks like Daschle will fall short of having 40 votes on lots of issues. Few will vote with the Democrats on anything. The problem is several democratic senators need things. They need airport money, they need military bases kept open, they need bills passed that their big donors want passed.

WE are playing hard ball. Delay killed the Bankruptcy reform bill over abortion. There are a ton of Democratic Bankers that want bankruptcy fixed. They thought after 5 long years they had it done. Schumer got money to get on board. But when he thought the senate was a sure Democratic think he made Henry Hyde throw his anti abortion friends to the wolves.

Yesterday Tom Delay threw Schumer to a lot of angry bankers for an attitude adjustment. Schumer was trying to please two supporting groups with one bill. Both got defeated.

Schumer is going to have to meet with some rich Democratic bankers to explain why his brilliant idea to kill two stones with one byrd failed.

I know that you monitor Fox News so....please tell me my eyes are lying to me. The despised (at least by me) Gregg Jarrett is now a Fox News host. He is on right now and I heard Tony Snow welcome him up next. What's happening to Fox?!!!

Do you know anything about this? It is a shocker to me. I dislike him more than Greta!

Thank you for that assessment. I hope you will watch what is about to happen with CARA. We all need to call our Senator's offices on Monday and give them an earfull on that one.

Sorry, I have been gone all afternoon and just got back. I haven't any experience with Jarrett as I never watch MSNBC.

Don't get upset, though. I notice Geraldo has pretty much been banished to the hinterlands since the Afghan War. Greta has shaped up quite a bit. Diane Diamond was sent into exile.

Either they get with the program or they are gone. Ailes knows what he is doing.

By the way, I see that Steve Harrigan, ace war reporter, is in Iraq. I always pay attention to where he is.

Another subjust, Hans Blitz. He is a tool of the UN and will do what king Annan tells him to do IF he wants to continue to earn that 175 thousand plus a year. King Annan wants to be king of the world but there is on problem and its that 'bush' in Washington, its growing a heck of a lot faster than King Annan is.

Today's snack? Marinaded shrimp, wrapped in rice noodles and deep fried. Served on guacamole, with a touch of caviar and a lemon sliver.

#12...Bless your heart, I know you will make the right decision about your daughter.

...God will use your daughter, small stature or not.....He has a plan for her.
He created her & gave her the will to live.
Bless you and your family.

Kehoe, guess I better get off the computer...

...you're right, the weather is wicked, and we're under a tornado watch.

We're still due to go to dinner, but it's only 4 or 5 miles away.

HUGS TO ALL!!!

Dog, I went to the Festival of the Trees...with 2 of my friends (one is a New Jersey native :)
...she brought an elderly friend with her, also from New Jersey.

The lady was so sweet....and sadly she had lost her husband 10 months ago.

She's leaving to move back to Jersey next week.
Said she's looking forward to a cold Christmas, and being close to family.

She won't miss Florida, the mosquitoes, or our hot, sticky Christmas :)

She was a dear......We hugged, and wished each other a Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the soothing words.LOL

You are more observant than I, because I hadn't noticed Diane Diamond's absence.

Before we had Fox News, I watched MSNBC rather than CNN. Jarrett was a lover of anything Clinton, far left, anti-conservative, etc. He took every cheap shot he could think of at the Republicans.

Keep a close eye on him.
