I loved Nixon. He's not a beloved statesman, but he was a good man. I've been to his Presidential Library in Whittier, CA, a few times. It's so down to earth. You have his voice saying, "This is where my mom beat the egg whites for the angel food cake. The angels helped her." Of course, that was way before electric mixers. She beat them outside on the back porch with a whisk.
It surely sounds as if he came from a wonderful family.
I agree Nixon was a good man. He just got some bad advice along the way.
