I really couldn't tell which side of him it was. It was the Deguere photography then. Isn't that what it's called? Dang, I'll have to go to Google again.

Heck, it's not there. I must be spelling it incorrectly.

It's kind of like this photograph. I wish my brain would snap into place.

This was from the 1920s or 30s. Photographs of Merrick is much earlier.

No, daguerreotype (his name was Daguerre) disappeared commercially about the time of the Civil War. Mr. Merrick lived from about 1862 to about 1890. You're welcome.
