Anyway ....

Did you get the "row" punch shown on the other thread - or a single-hole hand punch?

Seems that you could stack 4 layers of felt (two patterns worth) on a small board and wallop the stack with a single hammer blow if you had the 4-hole punch.

Six layers (won't say "sex layers of hand-held felt" because hobby would choke up ...) probably could work too.

single hole punch, robt. and whacking it would tear the felt. i am just going to have to suffer through this, thanks for attempting to implement your engineering ingenuity though.
