In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
enervate \EN-ur-vayt\, verb:
To deprive of nerve, force, or strength; to weaken; to impair the moral powers of.
Etymology: Enervate is from Latin enervatus, from enervo, enervare, to to remove the sinews from, hence to weaken, from e-, ex-, from + nervus , sinew.

Arghy, cupcake, you always come up with such fun stuff.
To: Argh
i would never call it anything other than Christmas, arghy, because i consider it sacrilegious to take Christ's name out, but otherwise that does have a nice ring to it!
yum, turkey and stuffing! xsSIL is suthren and tends to cornbread dressing instead of the stereotypical northerner's stuffing. i don't like wierd crap in my stuffing, no chestnuts, no sausage, no seafood. just normal stuffing, though i have taken to putting cranberries in mine.

Homework:
Hmmmmn. A toughie.
Enervate: State of having weekend knees, or of not having a lot of energy, eh?
Local: After partaking of breakfast in bed on a weekend, most coquettes are either enervated. Or energized. (Guess it probably depends on the status of the cuddle coefficient and local warm cozy blanket function....)
Political: After the Tuesday elections, most democrats are enervated, shocked at their loss of their stolen Senate seats.
To: hobbes1
sausage is fine, just not in stuffing.
