Classic FM is the Lord of the Rings soundtrack station and now's your chance to hear Howard Shore's fantastic new soundtrack for The Two Towers before anyone else!

What a year it's been for composer Howard Shore - he received his first Oscar for his soundtrack to The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring. Then the score was voted Classic FM listeners' All-time Favourite Movie Score. Then it was voted Soundtrack of the Year at the World Soundtrack Awards in Belgium last month.

All this autumn, Howard Shore has been in the UK recording the new Lord of the Rings soundtrack - The Two Towers.

And now you can hear be the first to hear it on Classic FM. All this week, exclusive previews of The Two Towers will be heard on Henry Kelly's School Run at 0810GMT in the morning, and on Classic FM at the Movies with Simon Bates at 1720GMT.

Already burned several with just a few tracks. My wife is going nuts with the repeat plays.

I thought the battle of the Pelennor fields was in Return Of The King?

By the way, There's better quality version of The Riders Of Rohan available now. You can get it Here.

Yup.

You asked: "I thought the battle of the Pelennor fields was in Return Of The King?"

Here's my post No. 11 in this thread:

"To: ecurbh; maquiladora

I've been listening to these two tracks for the past 20 minutes. IMO Howard Shore's score for The Ride of the Rohorrim battle in Return of the King will be awesome. That scene is in my head and I can see how the Rohorrim themes in these two MP3's can be used to titanic effect for it.

Thanks for the better quality version of Riders of Rohan.

Oh, okay, I understand what you mean now.

By the way, did you notice near the end of The Hornburg that the Elven song from Lothlorien has been turned into a Elven war march?

Are we listening to the march of the Ents and Hurons across the plains of Rohan?
