I know they heal quickly, but they HURT! I didn't get more than two hours of sleep, and I had to do that sitting up. It doesn't like the pressure of lying down. Stupid eye. I am going to go see the doc today and see if I can get some of those numbing drops. I have got to get some sleep.

I think the contact lens when skewy on me yesterday. It popped it's suction and I've been miserable since. (Waaahhhhhhhh)

Well, I wish she would quit teething on my sandles.... especially since my feet are still in them! lol

She's about 5/6 months old.

i thought maybe that was last night! i go to bed early!! how in the world did you mess up your eyeball? i have deadly fears of stuff like that since i wear contacts. the kids have, at various times, banged/poked xshub in the eye and i always think, if they did that to me, i would be blind!

I have no idea how I did it, but I am more than annoyed that I did. I have work to do, but I am not real thrilled about driving when one eye is swollen shut. I am not even real thrilled about driving to the doc, and that is only 10 minutes away, I sure as heck am not going downtown.

Yeah, contacts can be mean and nasty things, especially when the suction pops. Then you are definitely hurting.

what do you mean by suction pops? i have had the things get glommed onto the white of my eye on occasion, but never suctioned onto the iris part. this is grossing me out, btw....; )

Good morning, Rika. Sorry about the corneal abrsion thingy. They are very painful but thankfully will heal in a day or two. In the meantime they can make you miserable.

LOL, you are going to be having sympathy pains any minute now.

Contact lenses are held on by suction. If the eye gets dried out for any reason, the suction becomes even stronger. So let's say that your eyes are kinda dry, and that when you turned your eyes to look at something, you also blinked at the same time. It forced the contact to release the hold that it had on your cornea and viola, instant pain.

Or that's what happened as near as I can figure. A comedy of errors all they way around. So now after a day of having the stupid eye weeping and in pain, it's decided to swell shut making my life extremely difficult. I guess I will be in glasses for a week or so. Dagnabbit.
