Redundant with potato salad. Oysters on the half shell would provide Vibrio parahemolyticus.

Oysters on the half-shell are actually nature's Viagara.
All you have to do with raw oysters is rinse them off, crack the shell open, then serve them with some cocktail sauce and a bunch of horseradish.

On a side note, does anyone know what is going on in South Dakota? Even next door here in the great void I haven't seen anything about what Thune has or hasn't done. From what I remember he had to call forj a recount by last Friday if that is the route he wanted to take. I don't know if there was a time limit if he wanted to try to prove voter fraud, but he still has to move soon.
