In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
aver\uh-VUR\, transitive verb:
[Inflected forms: averred; averring]:
1. To affirm with confidence; to declare in a positive manner, as in confidence of asserting the truth.
2. (Law) To assert, claim, or declare as a fact.
Etymology: Aver is from Old French-Medieval French averer, from Medieval Latin adverare, to confirm as authentic, from Latin ad-, ad- + Medieval Latin verare, from Latin verus, true. Other words deriving from verus are very, which sometimes has the sense of "true"; verify, to prove the truth of; and verdict, a decision or judgment, literally a "true-saying" (verus + dictum, saying).

OOps - So sorry - for some reason I thought you were about 38 compared to my 42....... And here I was, thinking xsex was only a 36.
She's a 38! Woah I didn't know that! (I was thinkin' 35 - 36 max.... Does Cholera know any good eyeball doctors so I can get mine calibra'ated again? ) Butt, butt, butt ...... When did Gabz measure her? Maybe when xsex was wearin' that there sweater (remember, the one she wore on Holloween that was so cooooool because it had all them stratergically located holes?) Then again, if gabz'z is a 42 ... why was I focused on legs during the long gabzgamgate scandal?

but if i try for a badly dented can at the supermarket, will that work??Yes. But it has to be a non-acidic food like tomatoes or green beans. Steak Tartare could bring in the E. coli.

To: CholeraJoe
i don't have the slightest clue what to do with oysters, so you will have to go without your vibrio...

Oysters on the half-shell are actually nature's Viagara.
All you have to do with raw oysters is rinse them off, crack the shell open, then serve them with some cocktail sauce and a bunch of horseradish.
Mmmmmmmmm!

Oysters on the half-shell are actually nature's Viagara. They're not everything they're advertised to be. I had a hot date and ate a dozen oysters beforehand and only ten of them worked.

I know... I've seen her.
To: TheGrimReaper; xsmommy; Gabz
she just won't go swimming in the beer vat cos we can't allow clothing in there. OTHER coquettes do.
hence the binoculars.

I aver that the movie "The Ring" was done in the old style of scary movies, and that the group of people who made it did an excellent job!

Democrats continue to
averNothing's happened in November
The country's the same
'Cept senate leader's name
And the fact the dems just whimper.
On a side note, does anyone know what is going on in South Dakota? Even next door here in the great void I haven't seen anything about what Thune has or hasn't done. From what I remember he had to call forj a recount by last Friday if that is the route he wanted to take. I don't know if there was a time limit if he wanted to try to prove voter fraud, but he still has to move soon.
