I wrote the Mountie entrance exam back in 1976, then changed my mind and decided to stay in Montreal. They sent me a lovely letter practically begging me to join, but I figured didn't want to enforce dreadful customs laws (Free Trade all the way!) and didn't want to spend half my life in Igloolik or Tuktoyaktuk or Ellesmere Island or New Brunswick, Montreal was just too much fun. (Guess I should have figured that oot before I wrote the exam, eh?)

By the way, Mountie-ettes are pretty yummy, too.

Or is "a fast mount" a more appropriate description of a mountette?
