Good afternoon everyone. Just got back in from voting and running errands. Husband, mother-in-law, and very politically astute 8 year old son (who had his own ballot that he had made) with him voted this morning about 7:15. Could not believe the crowd. I do have to tell you, my mother-in-law is a very sharp 82 year old--but was so excited to vote straight Republican ticket--her first time that she marked her ballot while she was still at the table getting registered, with a pen. So my husband was trying to get her to a booth. In the mean time our son who just usually sits over on the floor and fills his own one out , well for some reason he wanted to go to a booth. So I am trying to get him set down. My husband is trying to get his mother in a booth. We looked like a three ring circus. This is not the way I like to do things, needless to say. In fact after I voted which was straight ticket, I told my husband going out to the pickup I feel like someone in Palm Beach,Florida, I want my ballot back to see if I marked it right. Ha!

BREAKING...MAJOR VOTING IRREGULARITIES SURFACING IN GEORGIA
Systematic problem statewide in Georgia confirmed: When placing vote, and touching the screen for a Republican candidate, the box is incorrectly checked for the Democrat candidate. Another similar situation is occurring when the review screen comes up and previously marked Republican votes are showing as Democrat votes... is happening in lots of different races. Officials fixing problems as they arise when made aware of them...

Hi Lady Jo! I wasn't around to welcome you yesterday. It's nice to have you join us.
Everyone, I just found these excellent prayer points that were posted by mountaineer on another thread a few days ago:
CBN suggests the following prayer points (in conjunction with our hard work, of course):
With the future of Americas judiciary, the unborn, and so many critical issues at stake, pray that every single Christian will be convicted to vote.
Pray that all U.S. citizens would become educated on the issues and vote for righteous leaders on Tuesday's elections.
Pray that the elections would turn the Congress in a more godly direction, that our government would begin to honor God with righteous and responsible legislation.
Pray that this election would plant the seeds for a true spiritual revival in the hearts of all our government leaders.
Pray that media coverage of the elections and campaigns would be balanced and fair. Pray that media outlets would not announce election results prematurely and interfere with the voting process like they did in 2000.
Pray that election results would be clear, that the true winner of each election would be indisputable, and that America would not be subjected to divisive attempts to contest the votes.
Pray that the foundations of our republic would not be eroded by frivolous court battles. Since this election represents a major turning point toward good or evil in our nation, pray against the principalities and powers of darkness that seek to bring confusion, deception, and destroy Americas godly foundation.
