4. And now, he has Daschle so spooked that Little Tommy D. is saying that he thinks keeping the other SD Senate seat is more important to him than holding on to the majority!! Zogby has Thune up 52-47 over Tim Johnson. Daschle is running scared.

Just a few more hours and we will know.

It's only a little bit slower than normal as far as I can tell...

Didn't I read or hear somewhere that Germany and France signed a big contract of some kind with Iraq? See post #8. Also see Drudge.

THERE ARE 807 DAYS REMAINING IN THE * REGIME What are they going to do after the President's re-election?
To: Bitwhacker
Der Schlickmeister to campaign more often!!! It is simple most of the really contested races in this election are being run on traditional Democrat TURF. Can you say Mo, MN, SD, New Jersey? Define Democrat turf. Define where the contests are.
When the FIGHT IS OVER DEMOCRAT TURF, then really big Democrat Democrats are an asset.
This is an off year election and most races in contest are being fought on Democrat turf.
When you are playing Atomic Bombs with Japan over Hiroshima... even a draw is a huge victory.

And then when Giuliani gets elected???

Ok...the goobers at DU post congratulatory threads on posters when they hit 500 posts...hahahha. Should we have some kind of congratulatory celebration when we hit 500 posts today?
To: Neets
I know what you mean. I've had some problems getting posts to go through. BTW, Happy Voting Day to you, too! Ü

Well, the point(s) I was trying to make was:
In the off-year elections, Republicans should be losing seats, not gaining, yet they are (and Bush is making history because of it); and
Everything UOx42 touches turns to crap. He has proven time and again that he can raise money, but he (and his shrew wife) are no king-makers. He was the reason for '94, and he is the reason they lost the races they pointed to as crucial.

MacAwful must have been writing that note when he was supposed to be appearing on the O'Reilly Factor. O'Reilly invited Marc Raciot and MacAwful to be on his show last night, and MacAwful didn't show!!! Raciot got to have 8 minutes to present the Republican side of things, and there was an empty chair there for MacAwful. I'm starting to be pretty optimistic that things will go the Republicans way today, MacAwful would have been there if anything was going the dems way. :)

Excellent point...and to highlight your 2nd point and double digit lead for Pataki on election day, then adding insult to injury by having McCall come in THIRD...giving up valuable seats on NYS ELection Boards is an even sweeter Republican Victory and a HUGE stain on X42s campaign legacy.

I think Marc Racicot has done an excellent job, and the grass roots effort has been excellent for the RNC. No one really knew about it because he doesn't go on television and trash talk like Terrible Terry.
Besides, I like to listen to Racicot and he is nice-looking...an elegant man, IMHO.

BREAKING... MacAwful releases the following statement:
``The tactics being used around the country to intimidate voters and suppress voter turnout are nothing less than despicable.
``We have seen 'anonymous' fliers displayed in predominantly African American communities in Baltimore, MD, with an incorrect Election Day date, warning voters to make sure their parking tickets are paid, their rent is not overdue, and they take care of any outstanding warrants before they go vote.
``A spokesman for the Maryland Republican candidate for Governor Bob Ehrlich was quoted saying their campaign plans include deploying off-duty police officers as poll watchers on Election Day.
``In Hidalgo County, TX a Republican poll monitor for Republican Senate candidate John Cornyn had to be escorted out of the polling place by law enforcement for harassing senior Hispanic voters and using derogatory language.
``In New Hampshire, an owner and landlord of several so-called ``Section 8'' housing developments sent letters urging his hundreds of elderly and disabled tenants to vote for Republican John Sununu for U.S. Senate, stating ominously that only through Sununu's efforts were the tenants ``assured'' that they could ``continue to remain in [their] home.
``Democrats will not stand idly by while Republican operatives try to strip voters of their most basic right. Too many people have fought and died for the right to vote.
``Mr. President, do not let our election process fall prey to dirty political shenanigans once again. Tell your Republican party operatives to cease their voter intimidation practices and let Americans exercise their right to vote free of harassment and intimidation..."
[Sourced to Drudge]
I'm sensing initial exit polling data are not good for the demodummies.
