Romans 11
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

Well, maybe we have already seen at least one answer to prayer.

Last night a preacher from my wife's church came to visit me. He really wants me to find a church home (although he says it's a bad idea to attend that church until things get better)

He also said that the church's position on a divorce situation like this is that they should do everything they can to reach out to the couple and save the marriage.

On top of that, he agreed with me on many of my beliefs regarding the people around my wife.

When I told her he came by, she wanted to know what he said, so I sent her an email with all the details. I am fairly certain she didn't expect a lot of that.

Someone she trusts and respects is finally telling her the truth instead of what they think she wants to hear, and what they think is the easiest thing to do.

Update and praise report on Emily's son. He has shown some signs of improvement--small though they may be. His heart rate goes up when he hears his family's voices, and there is reaction when they tickle his feet. Also, his pupils are now dilating and whatever the opposite of dilate is, when they shine a light on them. Prayers are still needed and appreciated.

If I may post several prayer requests...

Found out from my father this morning that our Pastor's wife, Lili, had a stroke this morning. She can't speak and does not have control over the right side of her body.

Also, a good family friend who is a UAL pilot and a strong Christian, is suffering from a severe kidney infection. Kris is a wonderful, kind-hearted man.

Finally, I have a job interview this Wednesday, and we REALLY need for me to get this job.

Heavenly Father, this night many of our brothers and sisters are in prayer and fasting for the elections tomorrow. Please hear their prayers, Mighty God, and bring relief to our confused and desperate nation. We continue to be under attack, Lord, from within and without...and we need Your wisdom, guidance and inspiration as our countrymen go to the polls tomorrow.

Father, there are many who have plans to falsify election results. Others have lied to our citizens about opposing candidates and created fear that the sick and elderly in our country will not be cared for. Remove these lies and fears from the voting public, and in each case, let the right candidate be chosen to carry on Your work during these uncertain times. Grant us a House of Representatives and a Senate that will work WITH our beloved President to secure our safety and prosperity. Install governors that will do the right things for our citizens. Deny ammendments and bills that would undermine our freedoms and liberty...the very things You granted to us upon the formation of this country.

Father, You hate lies and deceit. Forbid that any of these things can succeed tomorrow as we cast our votes. Enable all who wish to vote the means, health, safety, and necessary transportation to accomplish this task.

Thank You, Father, for all the blessings You have showered upon us. Touch each of our hearts so that all within our borders will praise and honor You. Thank You! In Jesus' precious name I ask these things...that The United States of America will continue to be Your beacon of light in these dark times. Amen!
