Sometimes these kinds of threads remind me of a few 'resident writers' who think that if they can't understand it, then by definition it must be poorly written... (we all know writers are ALWAYS crystal clear -- especially if they get PAID for their work...)

Now granted, the stuff they write may not be THIS bad...but I have seen too many crappy books get published to think that being paid to write is a good measure of one's ability.
