In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Today is Dubyaismypresident's birthday, so please join me in wishing him the happiest ever! Today's word is a Friday style word in honor of him. :-)

1.Of, pertaining to, marked by, or given to the consumption of alcoholic drink.
2. Readily absorbing fluids or moisture.

And where are you feeling her again?
To: VRWCmember
I was buried under a mound of paperwork. I finally dug an escape tunnel just to leave the office.

Okay, Vast, et al, Miss Slippy is partly here.
Cyber and I were painting on Saturday. He was on a ladder on one wall. I was balancing between two parts of a three-part unhooked sectional couch trying to mask (tape) a mirror. Miss Slippy flew through the air with the greatest of ease. I missed the glass coffee table by a couple of inches.
There's more to the story. Will tell you when I'm less liquidified and drugged tomorrow. Hands got hurt.

ROTFLMAO!!!
Limbaugh continued: "It's obvious Maureen Dowd hasn't gotten over her breakup with Michael Douglas who she thinks is a real American president but he didn't do anything but utter the words written for him by Aaron Sorkin and stand where someone director told him to stand and have his hair coifed by somebody who knew what to do, and then he blew it by running off with Catherine Zeta-Jones, leaving Maureen Dowd in the lurch. All she's got now is bourbon for mouthwash, and it's showing on her columns."

From the tone and tenor of that remark, one is forced to wonder, if El Rushbo, has been luring this thread, channeling mine and Dubyas comments about the miserable *itch.
If he starts in about the Picture of Algore, and a Six Pack of batteries...we'll know.

We're just calamity prone right now because there is so much to do after the flooding. It will be okay. Hands are now working this morning, but don't want to stress them any more than is necessary.
Xs, are you okay? Just read about the sniper. Are you going in to D.C. today in that traffic?

i'm fine, slip. my route was not affected by the shooting. this is getting totally ridiculous and has been for some time. it isn't really disrupting my life to any extent, but it is unsettling that he cannot be captured. also, the fact that he returned to Aspen Hill (if this is indeed him, and i think it must be)then one can't rely on the fact that he won't return to the vicinity where he has been previously. that had sort of comforted me up til now.
