Gee, you'd think it was an election year, the way the Dems are speaking in stentorian tones of tax cuts.

The sniper became very real to me yesterday when i learned that there had been a shooting within my own personal ambit.. I am encouraged that they have some new leads, hope they are fruitful. The perps need killing.

Homework:

The French and Dutch resistance fighters of WWII created a Stentorian noise as they fired their American-built short Thompson machine guns while fighting the Nazi's with American support....

Funny that now these same people want US to surrender to terrorists in the name of international socialism.

Stentorian voices, such as the writer of this article, Learn from Prohibition, will become necessary to over turn the tide of the nanny busy bodies.

While stentorian Dems complain
Bush's economy causes pain
Rangel won't help us
Instead he will just cuss
And continue to sit on his brain.

Feds Probe Voter Fraud in South Dakota

South Dakota's smarmy, sniveling senior senator, sans stentorian sonority, seeks subversion of Sioux selections, with no reservations.

Can't you just hear Queen Sheila's raucous stentorian tones as she entered this affair an hour late, and approaching the Thai queen, while she was eating, no less.

I find it oddly comforting that, no matter how dark, tragic, and terrifying a situation may be, the stentorian Geraldo Rivera can always be counted on to provide comic relief.

I just came upon that "FR's Finest" thread. Now, you all try not to let sudden fame go to your heads, OK?

A dedicated Teamsters union worker was attending a convention in Las Vegas and, as you would expect, decided to check out the brothels nearby.

When he got to the first one, he asked the Madam, "Is this a union house?"

"No," she replied. "I'm sorry, it isn't."

"Well, if I pay you $100.00, what cut do the girls get?"

"The house gets $80.00 and the girls get $20.00."

Mightily offended at such unfair dealings, the man stomped off down the street in search of a more equitable, hopefully unionized shop.

His search continued until finally he reached a brothel where the Madam responded, "Why, yes, sir, this IS a Union House."

The man asked, "And if I pay you $100.00, what cut do the girls get?"

"The girls get $80.00 and the house gets $20.00."

"That's more like it!" the union man said. So he handed the Madam $100.00, looked around the room and pointed to a stunningly attractive blonde. "I'd like her for the night."

"I'm sure you would, sir," said the Madam, then gesturing to an 85-year old woman in the corner, "but according to union rules, Ethel here has seniority."

The junior Stentor* from New York never ceases bloviating her bovine excrement and propounding her piffle.

Etymology: Stentorian comes from Stentor, a Greek herald in the Trojan War. According to Homer's Iliad, his voice was as loud as that of fifty men combined.

"According to Homer's Iliad"??

Oh, sure, like you don't remember ol' Stentor's voice as if you heard it yesterday...

(snicker!)

On the few occasions that I have heard her speak, I have noticed that Condi has a stentorian voice. This surprised me, as she is so tiny looking!
