Daily Prayer Thread 10/11/02

I need major prayer today. While I was offered and accepted the job last week, I got a call to set-up a meeting. I was concerned because the call came from HR, even though I would be meeting with the Executive Director. That convinced me it was an HR problem, and not a normal meeting. HR also said they had no idea what the reason for the meeting was.

I called the Director, and had to leave a message (while confirming she did have a secretary that sets her appointments) When she called back it was to reschedule, and we will be meeting at 4pm. I ask if she could let me know the subject of the meeting to bring anything we might need. At that time she told me that she was not "feeling comfortable" with the decision she had made. She felt that this "feeling" was something she needed to consider.

In other words, she is considering not hiring me because, even though it was a 4-month process with a total of 5 interviews (not including today), she suddenly doesn't "feel good" about hiring me.

This is my last chance to get the job, and I have to say I really want it despite the hassles.

Please pray for me to feel peaceful, and for it to be more clear to me what God's will is, because I am very confused right now.

Abba, Father,

We thank You for bringing sharktrager this far in this job process, and we ask, in Jesus Holy Name that the peace that surpasses ALL understanding right now come upon each and every person involved in this job hunt. We ask, in Jesus Name, that satan and all demons be totally and forever bound in sharktrager's life and in this job search.

Release the Holy Spirit NOW, Father, in Jesus Name and resolve this situation, for my God shall take care of all your needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus. Thank You, Lord, in Jesus Name, Amen and Amen
