Ouch! I suppose offering you a caramel apple I made with the kids is out of the question then.
Seriously, you probably have a mineral deficiency or absorption problem. The teeth and jawbone are the first to show trouble, it would be worth it to get it checked out. (and don't let them tell you it's your age!)

Sorry to hear about your teeth, try to hang in there.
Hey mountaineer from way over here! Hope you're having a jolly good time.
Sorry y'all, I still feel yucky. I try to read to gather up some goodies and nothing seems very interesting. I get half way through a paragraph and find myself just staring at the screen. Enough griping, going back to bed.
JL, I'm not sure if that bbq thing looks good or not. See what I mean??!! ack!
Check in later.

A quick stop by to say hello. Things here have been busy with the election coming up.
Tomorrow I am on the welcoming committee for Air Force One, and then on to a formal dinner with Bush. Tuesday is a debate of the candidates for governor.
This is getting very tiring, I can't wait for November 5th when I can finally pass out.

You need to take 20 minutes naps at noon. Get an alarm clock so you don't lay there nervously fearing you will drift off to sleep and miss your next appointment. If you can catch even 10 minutes of truely restful sleep, it is better than nothing.
Be strong. Be tough. The end is near.

Yes, I'm still hanging around, but only for a couple more days. We leave Wednesday.
IG, OUCH! Good luck with your surgery. Watch out for the pain killers....I "flew" all over the neighborhood when I had my last dental surgery. To this day I can remember the sensation of flying!
Yikes, y'all! I've been anticipating this trip for 6 months, but now I haven't even packed! All heck broke loose these last few days....I was supposed to be totally packed by now. I do a terrible job if I don't have plenty of time....I would end up lugging the kitchen sink all over France! Given proper time, I manage pretty well. I'm only taking one 24" suitcase for 17 days. (Lots of Woolite, too!). So I'm taking the next two days off and plan to go over my packing very carefully. (I'm starting to get nervous, too.....why? I don't know).

Hi, I'm back. Mr. M is busy at the laundrette, and insisted I return to the internet cafe to say hi to the Guild (whatta guy). I brought two pairs of slacks (wearing one, of course!) five tops (one a turtleneck), and a sweater. Brought that tablet-style laundry detergent (Wisk, I think). Each of us has one small-medium piece of luggage, plus I have the small backpack I'm using as a purse. So far, it looks just right. I almost could do without one of the tops, even. Don't forget your converter/adapter. Woo hoo, this is fun. See you Sunday.

I stand in awe of anyone who can pack so lightly. I will watch for further posts.
Good Morning all. A Happy Columbus Day to each and every one of you. And a *clink* of the coffee cup to the early risers.

Please leave the sink at home - they've got sinks in Europe as well as cleaners and laundries. We lightened our load considerably upon discovering that most all European hotels offer overnight clothes' cleaning and pressing service for their guests.
Leave the good jewlery and watches at home - have a ball. ;-)

Whew, starting to feel better, thanks for healing thoughts. But as you know it's always something! Now the 'puter is doing funky things, this is my fifth attempt at getting this far.
I will try to get a new thread up but if you all don't hear from me in the next hour it means more trouble. So someone please start a new one until I can find out what's going on.
Thanks!! Everyone cross your fingers.... here I go!
